Meet Beacon

You’ll like Beacon if you like: Bob Moses, Nicolas Jaar, The Antlers, Lower Dens

When Beacon would be played in a film: The protagonist is running away from his troubles, and has just jumped into a car at midnight, to speed through a thick forrest down a misty, windy road.

Beacon has a new album out, ‘Escapements.’ This electronic group from Brooklyn creates eerie, melodic tunes played underneath male vocals. They provide a wonderful balance between light and dark, and remains accessible to the average listener. And did we mention this music is sexy? Lots of smooth going on. Beacon is a part of Ghostly International, a great record label hailing from NYC.

Our favorite tune off Escapements is L1, a song with a little more bass than others on the album.

Beacon’s 2013 album The Ways We Separate is also worth listening to. We recommend checking out Bring You Back, Drive and Split in Two.
