NOTHING: heavy pop & shoegaze from Philadelphia
Grunge, shoegaze, dream pop, post-rock. Any words for describe NOTHING’s music wouldn’t be enough for that purpose. This band is able to become a great option for any music lover who wants to go one step ahead of their favourite styles. It is great to see how many people from different scenes praise their music, and it’s also even funny how others criticize them. Maybe because of their music or maybe because of being a polemic band.
But the career of NOTHING is made of survival since they were formed in 2011, and this could be the main theme in their new album Tired Of Tomorrow (Relapse Records). This album will hit you like the hardest of the drugs, killing you softly while you float listening Domenic Palermo’s lyrics. Also, having Will Yip (Title Fight, Circa Survive, Balance and Composure) as their producer has helped them to build the songs into the right way for the always non-easy second record.
No matter in which kind of music you are in, this album is such a great demonstration of how a band can transcend any style and we bet you will be amazed by them.
