Hey music lovers – Madrid

Once again the Cruz Bajo art gallery will open its doors to the city music lovers and this time for a charitable cause. It will showcase four up and coming bands as well as exhibit the paintings by architect Juan Eizaguirre, all the proceeds will go to Oxfam Intermon.

The bands:

Mechanismo is an indie-rock group formed in 2009 in Madrid, after their 2010 critically acclaimed EP Empire of Light they will introduce their recently released album: The Fornlorn Hope, produced by Charlie Bautista and Manuel Cabezalí. The band has recently recorded a live session for Radio3.

Tucan Morgan is an indie-rock band from Madrid formed in 2010 by Sofia Comas (vocals and keyboards) and Carlos Ramos (guitar). Following the release of their two EPs (Tucan Morgan, 2010, and Scary Folios, 2012) they released their debut album, Moon Cabaret Rooms, in 2015.

Brian Hunt is a singer-songwriter and producer from Madrid and previously a member of the groups Half Foot Outside, Templeton and Russian Red. He will play songs from his EPs Love and Unlove, both released last year.

Mervyn McManus is a singer-songwriter from Manchester and previously a founding member of the indie-rock group Mechanismo. In 2017 he will release his self-produced debut album “and one thing led to another…”.

 

The entrance fee is 10€ (2 drinks included). Saturday, 4th February 2017.
